Track History
The Kandava kart track is a karting track located in Kandava, Tukuma district, on Jelgava street 16. The track was built in 1972. In 1987, the asphalt concrete surface was renewed. The Swedbank kart track was opened on June 5, 2008, with the participation of its architect, the famous author of motor sports tracks and structures, Herman Tilke. It is the newest and most modern karting track in Latvia and the Baltics. The kart track is located in Kandava, on the site of the old karting track built in Soviet times, which was once the base of the karting teams of Latvia and the USSR. In turn, as part of the current reconstruction, the track was completely re-planned, as well as the entire track surface and its base were replaced.
